Former Dance Moms cast member Asia Monet Ray (pictured) is to be the star of Lifetime’s docuseries Raising Asia (14 x 30-minute), which is set to debut on July 29.

The U.S. cable net’s series will follow the eight-year-old singer and dancer – who built a fan base through series such as Dance Moms and Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition - as she takes her career to the next level with the help of her model mother Kristie, bodybuilder father Shawn and younger sister Bella Blu.

Raising Asia is produced by Dance Moms prodco Collins Avenue, with Jeff Collins, Michael Hammond, Sandi Johnson, Bryan Stinson and Leola Westbrook serving as executive producers. Lifetime’s Eli Lehrer, Mary Donahue and Kimberly Chessler are also exec producing the series.

The series is scheduled to premiere on July 29 at 10 p.m. EST/PST.
