Murray exits Matchlight, returns to IWC Media

Scottish producer Paul Murray (pictured) is returning to Zodiak Media-owned IWC Media - where he started his career - to serve as its head of formats, after just 10 months with DCD Media-owned factual producer Matchlight.

Scottish producer Paul Murray (pictured) is returning to Zodiak Media-owned IWC Media – where he started his career – to serve as its head of formats, after just 10 months with DCD Media-owned factual producer Matchlight.

Murray started in television at IWC Media, helping to produce the pilot and first series of Location, Location, Location for Channel 4. In his newly created role at IWC, Murray will generate formats across the group’s specialist factual, documentaries and features output, as well as contribute fact ent titles that will feed into Zodiak Media’s international catalog.

He will begin the position at IWC Media immediately.

The exec was most recently serving as creative director for new markets at the Glasgow-based Matchlight, which he joined last September. Prior to this role, Murray was head of Objective Scotland from 2011. Previously, he worked as creative director for STV Productions, where he developed shows such as BBC1′s You Can’t Fire Me I’m Famous and The Dark Side of Fame.
