California-based distributor GRB Entertainment has picked up the forthcoming National Geographic travel series Chug (pictured) for global distribution.
The previously announced series – produced by Inzane Entertainment – follows ‘drinkaloguer’ Zane Lamprey as he travels the world to better understand drinking customs and cultures. The title ‘Chug’ refers to Lamprey’s primary source of transportation: trains.
The show debuts later this year in the U.S. on National Geographic Channel.
“We’ve long been fans of Zane’s style and adventurous nature which is a huge part of this series,” said Michael Lolato, senior VP of international sales, in a statement. “We expect our international buyers to find this series a very welcome addition to their program schedule. Chug is sure to be a ratings hit in many parts of the world.”
