T Group hires development exec Patrick McGee

The former Bigfoot Productions CEO (pictured) will create and develop original docuseries and adventure programming for the Storage Hunters producer.

U.S. indie T Group Productions has hired Patrick McGee (pictured) to be its senior vice president of development.

He will create and develop original docuseries and adventure programming for the Storage Hunters prodco, reporting to exec VP of development and current Rob Lobl.

Formerly the showrunner and co-executive producer on National Geographic Channel’s Filthy RichesĀ and the CEO of Bigfoot Productions, he has a background in shooting in far-flung locales such as deserted islands, jungles and the Arctic Circle. He also worked as head of programming and creative for Bigfoot’s sister company, Fashion One Network.

McGee’s credits include Underwater Action, Model Yoga, Cooking for the Mayor and Fashion One Correspondent Search: Hong Kong.

The news comes after U.S. cable net H2 recently ordered 10 episodes of T Group’s format Museum Men, and UKTV-owned entertainment channel Dave greenlit a local version of Storage Hunters.
