Spain’s Atresmedia Group picks up “Cowboy Builders”

Atresmedia Group has picked up a Spanish version of home-repair reality show Cowboy Builders (pictured) from distributor Warner Bros. International Television Production.

In the series, two hosts help out people whose homes have been damaged by shady building contractors. One repairs and makes over the home while the other tracks down and confronts the previous contractor.

Local versions of the show, which Warner-owned Ricochet originally produced for Channel 5 in the United Kingdom, have also been produced in the United States, Belgium, France and Sweden.

The series debuted in 2009 on Channel 5 and has aired for nine seasons.  The 10th season is due to air next year.
