U.S. net SundanceTV has promoted Rob Friedman (pictured) from VP to senior VP of programming and scheduling.

Friedman will continue to report to Sarah Barnett, president and general manager for SundanceTV, and will oversee the strategic planning and scheduling of SundanceTV’s linear, TV Everywhere, and on-demand services in his new role. He will also coordinate program acquisitions with AMC Networks’ sister channel IFC.

In a statement, Barnett said Friedman “has impressively helped transition SundanceTV to an ad-supported, multi-platform world, all the while elevating and amplifying our buzzy and distinctive original programming.”
