The TV Guide Network (TVGN) has expanded its original programming department by adding a Shed Media US exec and promoting from within.

Jesse Surovell (pictured above, left), who arrives at TVGN directly from her position as exec director of development at Shed Media US,  has been appointed as VP of development. Meanwhile, Kristan Giordano (right) has been promoted to VP of original programming, with both appointments effective immediately.

Surovell, who developed such broadcast and cable shows as Marriage Ref, Bethenny Getting Married, Hollywood Exes and Thintervention, will be responsible for creating new original series at TVGN.

Giordano is a 10-year TVGN veteran who has overseen some 300 specials and recently served as the network’s executive producer. In her new role, she will oversee TVGN’s current programming, including Big Brother After Dark, Popsugar Now, The Story Behind series, TVGN-produced specials and live red carpet events. Giordano is a former producer at E! Entertainment for Wild On and Celebrities Uncensored.

Both will report to Paul Adler, senior VP of original programming and development.

“As TVGN continues to expand its original programming, both Jessie and Kristan will play significant roles in building and managing our growing slate of content,” said Adler in a statement.
