Passion Distribution has added several factual titles to its catalog ahead of the Edinburgh International Television Festival, which kicks off today (August 21), and MIPCOM in October.
The company has acquired the third season of Reef Television’s property competition series Selling Houses (60 x 60 minutes, seasons 1-3, pictured); and will launch Landmark Films-produced documentaries Cat Wars (one x 60 minutes) and My Perfect Birth (one x 60 minutes) at MIPCOM.
Passion has also picked up Lambent Productions’ BBC crime and punishment doc Dead Behind Bars (one x 60 minutes); the U.S. rights to Thunk It Media’s doc Dirt & Deeds in Mississippi (one x 60 minutes/one x 90 minutes); Quicksilver Media’s Clothes to Die For (one x 60 minutes); as well as season 28 of Channel 4′s current affairs series Unreported World (eight x 30 minutes).
The company is in talks to acquire a A.Smith & Co. Productions’ format Divorce Hotel, it said.
Passion has sold 50 hours of content to British broadcasters in the last quarter, including programs produced by The Weather Channel.
