Sky Vision sells “50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy” globally

Canada, New Zealand and several European territories have picked up the six-episode series (pictured) in which Irish TV presenter Baz Ashmawy and his mother partake in thrill-seeking activities.

Sky Vision has secured sales in Europe, Canada and New Zealand for the Sky 1 primetime reality series 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy.

The international distribution arm of BSkyB has sold the 6 x 60-minute Burning Bright Productions series to France’s M6, Chello Central Europe, Sky Italia, Nat Geo People, SVT, AMC Networks Iberia, Quebec’s Evasion, Poland’s Polsat and Choice TV New Zealand.

In this series, Irish TV presenter Baz Ashmawy takes his mother Nancy to Africa, Asia and the U.S. to test her mettle, accompanying her on activities ranging from sky diving to alligator wrangling. The program launches on Sky 1 in the UK on Monday, August 25.

Commissioned by Siobhan Mulholland, Sky’s commissioning editor for factual and features, 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy (pictured) is produced by Burning Bright Productions’ Clive Tulloh and Nicky Waltham, who also serve as executive producers. Brown Bread Films’ Baz Ashmawy also serves as exec producer, with Brown Bread’s Barry Egan acting as the series producer.
