U.S. net Discovery Channel will tackle the world of automotive auctions in its forthcoming series Highway to Sell (pictured), which will debut on September 1.

In the Twelve02 Television-produced series, automotive expert Dennis Pittsenbarger and his partner Slick will work to restore classic cars in their Florida-based shop, before auctioning them off.

Once the pair is finished with the vehicles, however, the cars’ owners face the difficult decision of either selling their cars for a cut of the profits or buying them back from Pittsenbarger and Slick for a discounted rate.

Jim Casey serves as exec producer for Twelve02, while Discovery Channel’s Joseph Boyle is executive producer and Todd Lefkowitz is associate producer.

The series premieres on Discovery Channel in the U.S. on September 1 at 10 p.m. EST/PST.
