Weather Channel preps “Survival Week” for September

U.S. net The Weather Channel will spotlight severe weather and those that brave storms in its ‘Survival Week,’ which runs from August 31 to September 6.

The event kicks off National Preparedness Month in September, and will showcase stories of individuals who have survived such harsh weather conditions as flooding, wildfires and rip currents.

The net’s primetime programming for the week includes new episodes of the series Fat Guys in the WoodsSo You Think You’d Survive? (formerly Now What?), Hurricane 360Weather Caught on Camera, and Tornado Alley (pictured).

Additional programming includes Wake Up with Al and AMHQ with Sam Champion, which will both feature survival-themed segments throughout the week.
