Multi-channel digital start-up Endemol Beyond USA is set to debut an online channel called #BEYONDreality that will feature original reality programming and remixed versions of Endemol formats.

Two series set to premiere on the channel include The #Muthaship – a series billed by Endemol as “reality-TV-meets-online-vlogger” – starring actor Drea de Matteo, as well as True Internet Tales, a format exploring the real stories and people behind Internet memes.

The #Muthaship will debut this month, while True Internet Tales is set to premiere later this fall, though exact dates for both series have yet to be released.

Producer-distributor Endemol launched its digital “Beyond” venture – a network of international and local channels living on platforms such as YouTube, Yahoo and DailyMotion – last November. Former Maker Studios exec Will Keenan was hired by Endemol North America to lead the initiative as president.

“Although online vlogging and digital streaming started to disrupt traditional reality television just a few years ago, Endemol North America’s #BEYONDreality hub channel is now a channel for the global online audience that continues to search the Internet for all their favorite reality TV moments and clips, as well as great new remixed, mashed-up and auto-tuned versions of all the many Endemol classics and current reality TV hits,” said Keenan in a statement.

“#BEYONDreality’s new online shows like The #Muthaship and True Internet Tales combine the best styles of reality TV with what works best online in the reality genre, which is currently vlogging and live streaming,” added Keenan.
