Filmmaker AJ Schnack is revisiting the U.S. political arena in a forthcoming three-part docuseries for Al Jazeera America, entitled Midterms (pictured).

Schnack – whose previous film, 2013′s Caucus, followed the Republican race in the Iowa Caucus from 2011 to 2012 – this time examines four key political races leading up to November’s midterm elections in the swing states of Iowa, Colorado and North Carolina.

The series will cover all four races across the three episodes, which will be broadcast on October 19 and 26, and November 2. Midterms will air each night at 9 p.m. EST/PST.

In the docuseries, Schnack profiles candidates and their staffs, tackling their personal lives as well as the issues – such as health care, immigration and government spending – that are central to their platforms. A spokesperson for Al Jazeera America told realscreen that filming is still ongoing.
