Discovery, Electus take “Running Wild” abroad

IAC-owned distributor Electus International has sold Running Wild with Bear Grylls to Discovery Networks International, which will air the show later this fall in Western Europe, CEEMEA (Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa), Latin America and Asia Pacific.

The series – which premiered in the U.S. in July – sees the adventurer (pictured) team up with celebrities such as Zac Efron, Channing Tatum and The Today Show’s Tamron Hall, and venture into remote locations around the world for two days. The series is co-produced by Bear Grylls Ventures and Electus.

“Bear Grylls continues to be one of the most famous survivalist draws in the world, and Running Wild meshes that draw with some of the world’s most famous celebrities for a can’t-miss event,” said John Pollak, president of Electus International, in a statement.
