Factual content provider Barcroft Media has licensed 23 hours of long-form factual programming for its YouTube and Daily Motion channels, Barcroft TV.

In a deal struck with ITV Studios Global Entertainment for its 5 x 60-minute Our Lives series, Barcroft will air two of the episodes – “My Child Is A Monkey” and “The World’s Smallest Girl” – that it had previously coproduced with Zig Zag Productions for numerous British broadcasters.

A separate deal with Off The Fence garners Barcroft TV 18 hours of medical documentaries, including the 4 x 60-minute You Exposed; the 4 x 60-minute Body Image and the 4 x 60-minute Cosmetic Surgery, in addition to the 2 x 60-minute Changing Sexes, a documentary featuring stories of those opting for gender reassignment surgery.

Another Off The Fence property that will air on Barcroft TV is the 3 x 60-minute series Women in Blue, a behind-the-scenes look at the lives of LAPD policewomen.

The documentaries will debut Thursday October 2, shown under “The Barcroft Docs” strand available on the channel, carrying forward on Tuesdays and Thursday nights at 7pm GMT on Barcroft TV.

“These compelling programs are perfect for our global Barcroft TV audience,” said Barcroft Media CEO and founder Sam Barcroft in a statement. “Premium, long-form content is the future for digital channels.”
