Exclusive: CMJ sends celebrity series to Canada, Australia

CMJ Distribution has sold Celebrity Damage Control and Celebrity Legacies to networks in Canada and Australia, and added three factual titles to its MIPCOM catalog.

CMJ Distribution has sold a pair of celebrity series’ that first aired on U.S. cable net ReelzChannel to networks in Canada and Australia.

Canada’s Corus Entertainment, Quebec’s Investigation and Australia’s Foxtel have picked up Celebrity Damage Control (26 x 60 minutes) and Celebrity Legacies (26 x 60 minutes) from the sales arm of producer CMJ Productions.

Celebrity Damage Control profiles stars caught committing crimes or betraying family and fans, while Celebrity Legacies looks at controversies and dramas that have erupted around celebrities’ deaths.

Additionally, CMJ has added three factual series to its MIPCOM catalog.

Plan of Attack: A Guide to Survive the Impossible (10 x 60 minutes) uses scientific sources and expert advice to give viewers advice on how to survive fantastical threats, such as giant spider attacks and clone wars.

The lifestyle program Pop! Goes The Wedding (10 x 30 minutes) follows the planners at Hand Made Events as they stage surprise weddings for couples in unexpected venues.

Finally, Death Trap (18 x 30 minutes) profiles drivers and passengers who have survived gruesome car crashes and road accidents.
