U.S. arts net Ovation has picked up the U.S. television rights to the six-part series This Old Thing from international distributor Zodiak Rights.

The show is hosted by the British fashion designer Dawn O’Porter (pictured), who hunts for old clothes in vintage shops, high-end boutiques and people’s attics in order to uncover fashions that are still in style today. The host also provides commentary on how older looks influence current runways, and shows viewers how to update vintage pieces.

This Old Thing debuted on UK broadcaster Channel 4 in June. The series is produced by RDF Television West with Andrew Anderson serving as executive producer.

“This is a gem of a show that works so well with Ovation’s mission of presenting programming that shows art is everywhere,” said Scott Woodward, SVP of programming and production for Ovation, in a statement. “We just loved Dawn’s wonderful, infectious energy and enthusiasm. She’s always ready to take on an obsessive trend chaser or seemingly impossible fashion challenge to show you how you can achieve great individual style.”
