Amy Berg’s documentary about sexual abuse in Hollywood will have its world premiere at this year’s DOC NYC festival.

An Open Secret (pictured) is among the 92 features – including 19 world premieres, seven U.S. premieres and 40 New York City premieres – screening at the fifth annual event, which takes place in New York City from November 12 to 20.

This year’s line-up is DOC NYC’s biggest to date. In total, the fest will host 153 films and events.

The U.S. premiere of The Yes Men Are Revolting, directed by Laura Nix and the Yes Men, is the festival’s closing night film. As previously reported, David Thorpe’s Do I Sound Gay? will open the fest. Both films made their world premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Among the titles set to screen as part of DOC NYC’s Short List program, which focuses on festival favorites and awards season contenders, are Laura Poitras’ CITIZENFOUR, Nick Broomfield’s Tales of the Grim Sleeper, Robert Kenner’s Merchants of Doubt and Gabe Polsky’s Red Army.

Other world premieres include Hank Rogerson and Jilann Spitzmiller’s Still Dreaming, in which the residents of a retirement home for actors perform Shakespeare; and Dan Rybicky and Aaron Wickenden’s Almost There, about an outsider artist with a surprising past.

The festival is also introducing four new programs this year: Fight The Power, which focuses on activism; Centrestage, which is devoted to performance; Jock Docs, or films about sports; and Docs Redux, a program of classic documentaries.

Organizers have also expanded the industry conference Doc-A-Thon from four to six days and filmmakers Albert Maysles, DA Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus are set to receive lifetime achievement awards at the festival’s inaugural Visionaries Tribute event on November 14.
