ABC lines up “Shark Tank” spin-off

U.S. broadcaster ABC has signed on for a companion series to its business pitch-oriented series Shark Tank (pictured), which will follow the success stories from the original show.

U.S. broadcaster ABC has signed on for a companion series to its business pitch-oriented series Shark Tank (pictured), which will follow the success stories from the original show.

Entitled Beyond the Tank, the 10 x 60-minute series – which, like the original, will be produced by Sony Pictures Television and United Artists Media Group – will revisit past Shark Tank pitches and deals to find out what came of them.

The show will profile both entrepreneurs whose projects received investments and those who didn’t, questioning how the outcomes from the original show affected their business aspirations.
