Mundye will represent and adapt Keshet’s entertainment and factual formats for UK broadcasters, while Blaker looks after the company’s UK comedy slate. Both will also develop original properties for UK television, alongside Ran Telem, Keshet’s VP of content; and Dave Morley, UK creative consultant.
Mundye jumps to Keshet from his position as Shine Group’s executive producer of internal formats, where he managed the international roll-out of The Biggest Loser, One Born Every Minute, Got to Dance, Clash of the Choirs and The Face. Previously, he worked on numerous game show projects at Victory Television (SPE) and has also served as series producer of ITV1′s All Star Mr and Mrs and BBC1′s Tonight’s the Night.
Blaker co-created and co-wrote the BBC1 series Pompidou at John Stanley Productions, and also co-created, co-wrote and coproduced two series of the Matt Lucas Awards. Blaker also has a history at Radio 4, where he produced Little Britain, Britain Versus The World, 2525 and Chat Show Roulette. He produced Rock Profile for UKTV and was formerly head of development at So Television.
Keshet UK COO Sammy Nourmand said the hires are just the first steps of what will be a rapid expansion.
“We are committed to building our UK operation and will be looking to further beef up our creative team in the UK over the coming months,” he said in a statement.
