BBC2 has ordered the series Alex Polizzi for Hire from UK indie Twofour.

The 16-part series will follow the British hotelier and TV personality (pictured above) as she visits different British restaurants in need of a new chef. Working with the owner, she challenges hopeful applicants to undertake a series of tasks in order to land the job.

The executive producers on the show are Twofour’s Dan Adamson and the BBC’s Tom Edwards.

Earlier this year, Channel 5 greenlit the four-part travel series Alex Polizzi’s Secret Italy. Since 2008, Polizzi has hosted Channel5′s long-running hotel makeover series The Hotel Inspector. She also starred in BBC2′s Alex Polizzi: The Fixer.
