U.S. indie Tremendous! Entertainment has bolstered its development team.

The Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern and Ghost Asylum producer has hired Andy Meyer (pictured) to be its vice president of development, and Barron Whittet to be its creative director of development.

Formerly the head of development at Jarrett Creative Group, Meyer will oversee the company’s East Coast development slate from its New York City office.

His past production credits include MTV’s Blind Date, TLC’s Trading Spaces and the first season of Fox singing competition American Idol. After working as a producer, he became the head of original programming for Versus, the network that later became NBC Sports Network, and he later worked as a VP of original programming and production for Fuse.

While at Jarrett Creative Group, he developed projects for Bravo, E!, History and Esquire Network.

Meanwhile, Minnesota-based Whittet spent the past five years as a freelance producer and editor. His credits include Tremendous! series TLC’s Angels Among Us, Destination America’s Ghost Asylum and VH1′s Off Pitch. He previously worked for Metropolitan Hodder Group where he helped launch shows for ABC and Lifetime.
