Producers hoping to make the cut for the Realscreen Summit’s popular pitch competition, The Summit Showdown, now have a little more time to enter, with the deadline for submissions extended to Friday, December 19.
This year’s Summit Showdown, once again hosted by Jack Osbourne, will see a judging roster that includes Ross Babbit, senior VP of programming and development for Travel Channel; Mary Donahue, senior VP of non-fiction programming for Lifetime; Alan Eyres, senior VP of programming and development for National Geographic Channel; and Marissa Ronca, senior VP of development and original programming for TruTV.
Pitching hopefuls who have made it through a rigorous adjudication round will go head-to-head to impress our host of distinguished judges with their new concept for an unscripted/non-fiction series or non-fiction documentary/one-off in this interactive competition, always a standing-room only favorite at the Summit. Live participants will be judged on the creativity and marketability of their concept in addition to the quality and execution of their pitch. The Grand Prize package includes custom music for the winning show by Vanacore Music, a pass to the 2016 Realscreen Summit and an iPad Mini.
To help ensure this year’s winner of the Summit Showdown becomes a huge success, Vanacore Music is giving the winner full access to the Vanacore music library, music supervision and 10 custom tracks produced by their award-winning composers and tailored specifically for the winning entrant’s next sizzle or pilot.
