Travel, Zimmern to explore “Delicious Destinations”

Chef Andrew Zimmern (pictured) is extending his Bizarre Foods franchise with a 13 x 30-minute spin-off for U.S. network Travel Channel.

Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations finds series host Zimmern, who has also brought Bizarre Foods and Bizarre Foods America to the network, arriving in cities including Zurich, Florence and Barcelona to sample iconic dishes and discover those dishes’ origins.

Premiering with back-to-back episodes on January 26 at 9 p.m. EST and 9:30 p.m. PST, the first two installments will feature Zimmern dining in Athens to savor the souvlaki and gyros of the city, before heading over to Paris to taste pastries and steak frites.

The series is produced by Tremendous Entertainment with Zimmern acting as exec producer alongside Colleen Needles Steward,  Shannon Keenan Demers, Kristin Graham and David Barsky.
