U.S. net TLC will explore “Same Sex Attraction” in Salt Lake City’s Mormon community in the forthcoming special My Husband’s Not Gay (pictured).

Set to air on January 11 at 10 p.m. EST/PST, the special will examine Mormon marriages in which husbands are attracted to men, as well as their wives. Rather than labeling the men as gay, the situation is recognized within the community as “Same Sex Attraction” or simply “SSA.”

In the special, three couples – all of whom are friends – will discuss the challenges of being in such relationships and making their marriages work as well as balancing family life with their children. The groups’ single friend will also speak about the hardships of dating and trying to find a wife, all while deciding whether or not to reveal the truth about his sexuality.

The series is produced by Breaking Amish producer Hot Snakes Media.
