Two months after stepping down as CEO of international distributor Zodiak Rights, Steve Macallister (pictured) has been tapped to head UK distributor All3Media International, beginning on March 1.

The exec will take over as CEO from Louise Pedersen, who in October announced she would be leaving her post as managing director of All3Media International to join the London office of Playground Entertainment.

Prior to joining Zodiak Rights in January 2014, Macallister served as MD of sales and distribution at BBC Worldwide for six years. Before this, the exec worked across various positions at The Walt Disney Company for 14 years, finally serving as senior VP and MD of Buena Vista International Television Asia Pacific.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Jane and the team at All3Media in what promises to be an exciting new chapter for the company,” said Macallister in a statement. “The International business is an impressive operation and the creative prowess of the All3Media group is second to none.”

Jane Turton, managing director of All3Media, added: “Steve’s record as an expert in the field of distribution and the broader exploitation of IP speaks for itself and he arrives at a time when our international business is going from strength to strength.

“He inherits a very strong team and a market-leading catalog and I am confident that under Steve’s leadership, All3Media International is set to see rapid and continued growth,” she added.
