U.S. broadcaster ABC has picked up the Zodiak Los Angeles-produced format Celebrity Wife Swap for a fourth season.

The show – in which the matriarchs of two celebrity families with different lifestyles trade places for two weeks – is a spin-off of the reality series Wife Swap, which began airing on ABC in 2004. Recent participants include former NFL football player Plaxico Burress, rapper DJ Paul, former Real Housewives of New York cast member Jill Zarin, and reality stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt.

Following its third season, which wrapped in July of 2014, the series has been picked up for a 13-episode order.

“We are delighted to be producing more episodes of Celebrity Wife Swap for ABC in 2015, 10 years since the first episode aired,” said Jonny Slow, chief executive officer of Zodiak Americas. “Since then, the format has been aired in more than 40 countries and the fact that it is still in production in many of them is a great testament to the simplicity and cleverness of the original idea.”

Bruce Toms serves as executive producer on the series for Zodiak Los Angeles.

In related news, Zodiak Nederland has been commissioned to produce a third season of the Dutch adaptation of Celebrity Wife Swap - titled Jouw Vrouw Mijn Vrouw VIPS (4 x 60 minutes) – for RTL4.
