“Kosher Soul” to premiere on Lifetime in February

The U.S. cable network will begin airing the Ish Entertainment-produced docu-sitcom Kosher Soul on February 25.

U.S. cable network Lifetime has set a February air-date for the docu-sitcom Kosher Soul (pictured).

Produced by Ish Entertainment, the 12 x 30-minute series follows Los Angeles stylist Miriam Sternoff and her fiancé, comedian O’Neal McKnight, as McKnight converts to Judaism in order to be accepted by Miriam’s mother ahead of the couple’s wedding.

Along the way, the pair must deal with cultural barriers as well as doubts and concerns from each other’s families.

Exec producers for Ish are Michael Hirschorn, Melissa Cooper, Wendy Roth and Rasheed J. Daniel. Lifetime’s Eli LehrerMary Donahue and Mariana Flynn also serve as executive producers.

Kosher Soul will premiere on February 25 at 10 p.m. EST/PST.
