U.S. net Nat Geo Wild is readying a two-night, four-part event entitled Wild Australia (pictured) that is to showcase the diverse landscapes and wildlife native to the continent.

Airing as part of the network’s Destination Wild strand, the series – which will debut on February 15 and 16, with two hour-long, back-to-back episodes airing each evening – features footage from many locations around Australia and relies on aerial footage and slow-motion to introduce viewers to the animals of various regions.

The episodes “Realm of the Wombat” and “Desert of the Red Kangaroo” will air on February 15 at 9 and 10 p.m. EST/PST, respectively, while “Jurassic Jungle” and “Koala Forest” will be broadcast on February 16 at 9 and 10 p.m. EST/PST.

Wild Australia is produced for Nat Geo Wild by Doclights. Exec producing for the company is Susanne Lummer, while Ashley Hoppin is serving as executive producer for Nat Geo Wild.
