Italian distributor Blue Box Entertainment has sold the format rights to its talent show The Bodyguard (pictured) to Finnish prodco Femkanten Media.

The show – which was originally produced by Italian prodco Vivi la Vita – sees 12 men and women competing against one another for the chance to start a career as a celebrity bodyguard.

Participants enter a training school, where they are taught by professional coaches and must ultimately perform a series of challenges judged by a jury. A contestant is eliminated each week, with the winner receiving a contract for a bodyguard position with a celebrity client.

The Helsinki-based Femkanten Media specializes in entertainment, factual entertainment and formats with programming spanning talk shows and lifestyle to reality and cooking shows.
