London-headquartered distributor Hat Trick International has secured deals in Europe, Australia and New Zealand for the hour-long factual special Billionaire’s Paradise: Inside Necker Island (pictured).

The Plum Pictures-produced one-off – which premiered on BBC2 in the UK last month – examines one of the world’s most exclusive holiday retreats in the British Virgin Islands, and introduces viewers to the 100 local and international staff hired to cater to just 30 guests.

The special is to air in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, following acquisitions by Belgium’s Medialaan, New Zealand’s Choice, Denmark’s DR, Norway’s SBS Discovery and Australia’s Foxtel.

“This fascinating one-off documentary offers perfect peak-time content, taking viewers – for the first time – behind the scenes at one of the most luxurious and famous resorts in the world,” said Sarah Tong, director of sales at Hat Trick International, in a statement.

The special will be one of the distributor’s key launches at MIPTV in April.
