Banijay ups Schweitzer to head of content

Banijay Group content manager Marie Schweitzer (pictured) has been promoted to head of content, giving her oversight on all program-related activities, and the responsibility of developing new format brands.

Schweitzer will report directly to Banijay CEO Marco Bassetti, and will oversee the central development and creative team as well as the market research department. In addition to developing new formats, she will be tasked with expanding existing formats within the Banijay stable, including Temptation Island, Beat Your Host and Popstars.

She joined the Paris-based company in 2008 at its launch as co-head of market research, and has held various positions in the company over the past seven years, including head of its central development unit, the Creative Factory.

“Marie has been working for Banijay for many years; she has a deep knowledge of the creative non- scripted market and a great talent in this field,” said Bassetti in a statement. “I’m very happy she accepted our offer for this important role.”
