A+E Networks, TV18 J.V. appoints president

Avinash Kaul, who has worked across numerous television networks in India, will now oversee management of A+E Networks /TV18, in addition to his duties as CEO of IBN Network.

Avinash Kaul, who has worked across numerous television networks in India, will now oversee management of A+E Networks |TV18, in addition to his duties as CEO of IBN Network.

Kaul, an Indian television industry veteran who has worked with Discovery Networks, Star, NDTV and BCCL, now takes on a leadership role with the joint venture between A+E Networks and TV18, the broadcast division of major media group Network 18. History TV18 launched on October of 2011 and currently reaches over 65 million households across India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

“Avinash brings vast media expertise, foresight and knowledge of the Indian market to the venture,” said Sean Cohan, executive vice president, international, for A+E Networks. “Under his leadership, we are well-positioned to realize our shared vision of strong and vibrant entertainment services in India.”
