Fox has set a summer air date for the game show Boom! (pictured), which is based on a format created by Israeli producer-distributor Keshet International.

The series challenges teams of three players to defuse slime-filled bombs by answering questions correctly within a strict time limit.

The players must cut wires corresponding to their answers. If they get a question wrong or run out of time, the bomb will explode and shower them and a portion of the audience with guacamole, mashed potatoes and other contents.

Boom! will be hosted by comedian Tom Papa and is set to premiere on June 25 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

Other unscripted titles returning to the U.S. broadcaster this summer are MasterChef, which will kick off its sixth season with a two-hour premiere on May 20 at 8 p.m. EST/PST, and the Mark Burnett-executive produced quiz show Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?, which will premiere on May 26 at 8 p.m. EST/PST.

Dance competition So You Think You Can Dance will enter its 12th season on June 1 at 8 p.m. EST/PST. This season, the dancers will take their talents from the stage to the street. Nigel Lythgoe returns as a judge alongside new judges Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo. Cat Deeley will host.
