Endemol Shine North America reveals exec structure

Eden Gaha (pictured), formerly president of unscripted for Shine America, takes on the same role for Endemol Shine USA, while Rob Smith has been named EVP, head of unscripted television.

A few months after its official launch, and after revealing the executives taking the reins at its distribution division, the Endemol Shine Group has unveiled the divisional executive structure for its North American arm.

Ben Samek, most recently COO for Endemol North America, has been named chief operating officer for Endemol Shine North America.

Eden Gaha (pictured), most recently president of unscripted television for Shine America, has been named president of unscripted television for Endemol Shine USA, and will report to co-chairmen and CEOs Cris Abrego and Charles Corwin.

Joining Gaha in the unscripted department is Robert Smith, most recently executive vice president, creative affairs for Endemol USA, and is now upped to executive vice president, head of unscripted television. Smith will report to Gaha.

Philippe Maigret, CEO of Endemol Studios since 2011, will be stepping down and transitioning to a consultancy role, according to the company.

Carolyn G. Bernstein, EVP of scripted programming at Shine America, and Jeremy Gold, EVP of creative affairs for Endemol Studios, will continue in their current roles in the newly merged Endemol Shine Studios, reporting to Abrego and Corwin.

On the digital front, Vivi Zigler, previously president of Shine 360 and digital for Shine America, has been named president of digital, brand and audience development for Endemol Shine North America, and will also report to Abrego and Corwin. Will Keenan, president of Endemol Beyond USA, will report to Zigler.

Elsewhere, John Farrell continues as general counsel for Endemol Shine North America, having previously served in the same capacity at Endemol USA. Farrell reports to both Abrego and Corwin. Paul Jennings, previously Endemol North America’s Chief Financial Officer, keeps the same post for Endemol Shine North America, reporting to Abrego and Corwin. Joe Schlosser, previously senior vice president, communications at Shine America, is now senior vice president, communications, Endemol Shine North America, reporting to Abrego and Corwin. Lastly, Denise Rodine, Endemol North America as VP, human resources, continues in that role for Endemol Shine North America and reports to Samek.

As previously announced, Core Media Group is retaining its own capital structure in the joint venture, with Peter Hurwitz as president.
