DIY takes Mr. T’s “I Pity the Tool”

The A Team icon (pictured) is taking on home renovation in a series slated for later this year.

Mr. T, the mohawk-sporting, “jibber jabber”-hating star of The A-Team, is set to star in a home renovation series on DIY Network.

Produced by The Michael Group and slated to air in 2015, I Pity the Tool will see Mr. T pair up with HGTV Design Star winner and interior designer Tiffany Brooks and a team of tough construction workers to demolish outdated spaces and refurbish them.

It’s the latest in a slew of well-performing, celeb-fronted renovation shows for the net, which also airs The Vanilla Ice Project, Daryl’s Restoration Over-Hall with Daryl Hall, The Shatner Project with William Shatner, and Rev Run’s Renovation, with Reverend Run from Run DMC.

“We’re hooking up homeowners who need help with their renovations,” said Mr. T in a statement. “I’m tired of all this jibber jabber – we’re out here getting things done, working hard, demolishing the old and rebuilding the new.”
