Former Shine Group exec David Christopher (pictured) will join ITV Studios in the newly created role of director of international commercial and digital.
Effective April 1, he will work alongside the format team, brand extension teams and Bruce Gersh, ITV Studios America’s recently appointed EVP and head of digital, strategy and branded entertainment, to find opportunities to extend franchises such as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, Hell’s Kitchen and Come Dine with Me outside the UK and U.S. markets.
He will report to EVP of global development and formats Mike Beale.
As the director of licensing for Shine 360, Christopher developed brand strategies and commercial relationships for formats such as MasterChef, The Biggest Loser: Glory Days and One Born Every Minute. Prior to that, he worked as the global director of merchandising and licensing for Jaguar Land Rover and as director of brand licensing and promotions at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
