In 1845, Sir John Franklin and a team of explorers set sail on two ships, the HMS Erebus and the HMS Terror, to explore Canada’s Northwest Passage. They never returned. The search for the wreckage spanned some 150 years, but in early September of 2014, teams from Parks Canada and the Royal Canadian Geographic Society found a wreck that was ultimately verified as the Erebus. Thankfully, for fans of historical and adventure programming, a team from Lion Television joined the expedition for 10 days, and in this international copro, viewers are given a sailor’s-eye view of the proceedings.
