Luna Berlusconi launches prodco Due B

The Italian producer's (pictured) first commissions include digital series Happy Birthday: 18 and he talent show format Eei Eei Ooh.

Luna Berlusconi (pictured) has launched the Milan-based production company Due B.

The producer, who previously headed up the shingle Rg Produzioni with her husband, actor Edoardo Sylos Labini, has recruited Paolo Urbani as head of production.

The company’s first commissions include the factual series Happy Birthday: 18¬†(seven x 48 minutes) for digital channel La5. The series, which will air in September, is about the trend of celebrating an 18th birthday with YouTube video.

Due B is also making the talent format Eei Eei Ooh (six x 120 minutes) for Mediaset Espana network Telecino. The series is a talent show for pets and based on a format from Bic Formats. It will  debut next summer. EcchoRights is distributing the format worldwide except in Italy, Spain and the United States where Due B retains the rights.

Berlusconi, whose uncle is former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, has also produced the format Come to Live With Me and the makeover series Prettier Than Ever Before.
