MIPTV ’15: Keshet Int’l sends “Trade Up” to Romania

Israeli distributor Keshet International has sold a 15-episode order of trivia game show Trade Up (pictured) to Romanian commercial broadcaster Prima TV.

As previously reported, the Keshet Broadcasting-developed show finds two families going head-to-head to win their dream car by answering a battery of trivia questions and selecting the correct keys to start a vehicle’s engine, all while trying to oust their rivals. Ultimately, the final family must decide whether to ride off with their prize car or “trade up.”

“Keshet International’s Trade Up fits extremely well within our general programming philosophy,” said Simona Mazilescu, COO of Prima TV, in a statement. “This fresh and exciting trivia game show is a completely new format on the Romanian TV market and I am convinced that the public will love it.”

Keren Shahar, MD of distribution at Keshet International, added: “We’re delighted that Prima TV shares our conviction in this fresh new concept. Trade Up builds tension and excitement in both the studio and the living room because its players are already seated in the car they could be driving home.”
