Comedic culinary show What the Fung?! (pictured) will premiere on U.S. cable network FYI next month.

Produced by BSTV Entertainment, the 13 x 30-minute series follows YouTube comedians and brothers Andrew and David Fung as they travel the United States in search of the best local eateries while “attempting to eat like ‘ballers’ on a budget,” the network said in a statement.

The brothers will have $50 each to spend in each city and will meet with local chefs and foodies, tour kitchens and learn how to make signature regional dishes.

Originally from Seattle, the Los Angeles-based brothers are best known for a series of YouTube videos about NBA player Jeremy Lin that went viral after he joined the New York Knicks. They also produce hip-hop videos, sketches and food videos for their YouTube channel, which has more than 800,000 subscribers.

What the Fung?! will premiere on May 23 at 9 p.m. EST. Executive producers on the series are BSTV’s Beth Burke and Blake Swerdloff and FYI’s Gena McCarthy and James Bolosh.

This is not the first time the A+E-owned lifestyle net has greenlit a food series featuring YouTube personalities. Last year, the popular high-calorie cooking show Epic Meal Time made the jump from YouTube to cable as the 16-episode FYI series Epic Meal Empire.
