Food Network lands in Hong Kong, Indonesia

Scripps Networks Interactive has launched Food Network in Hong Kong on Now TV, and in Indonesia on Indovision, OkeVision and Play Media.

Scripps Networks Interactive has launched Food Network in Hong Kong on Now TV, and in Indonesia on Indovision, OkeVision and Play Media.

The networks will carry favorites such as Chopped, Guy’s Big Bite and The Kitchen, mixed with local content, including Asian versions of Food Wars and Best Thing I Ever Ate. 

Food Wars features inaugural Food Hero winner Michele Lean on her travels to Singapore and Malaysia where well-known restaurants go head-to-head in a cooking showdown.

In Best Thing I Ever Ate, local celebrities from Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand talk about their favorite restaurants and dishes.

The network also has an upcoming launch on Taiwan’s MOD.

“Since our initial launch in Asia five years ago, Food Network continues to drive record ratings and creates a value proposition to our key partners,” said Derek Chang, managing director of Scripps Networks Interactive, Asia-Pacific, in a statement.
