Distributor FremantleMedia International has promoted Michela Di Mondo (pictured) to the newly created position of vice president of distribution and sales for its Canadian office.

Di Mondo, previously executive director of sales, will continue to acquire titles for the company’s catalog, which has more than 20,000 hours of English and French programming. She is based in Toronto and reports to Susan Hummel, SVP of distribution and sales.

“Michela has been integral to further establishing FMI in the region since we launched FremantleMedia International Canada in 2014,” Hummel said in a statement. “This promotion recognizes her ongoing commitment to our business through her key relationships and creative deal-making strategies, including managing brands such as Jamie Oliver and American Idol.

Before joining the company, Di Mondo worked in sales at Media Group International and MGM in Canada.
