CMJ Productions II, Germany’s Bilderfest enter partnership

Munich-based prodco Bilderfest Factual Entertainment and Montreal’s CMJ Productions II have today announced a production and global distribution partnership.

The deal includes coproduced factual show As a Matter of Fact- a scientific series exploring aspects of the 21st century human condition – as well as an international digital and broadcast sales agreement for science-related programming.

As A Matter of Fact (13 x 30 minutes), covers topics such as the origins of stress, evolution, aging and the workings of the human digestive system in an accessible manner designed to appeal to more casual science enthusiasts.

The announcement of the co-venture – made today by CMJ’s John Kuyk (pictured) and Bilderfest’s Marcus Uhl – will also see CMJ handling global and digital sales for Bilderfest’s feature United Street Sellers Republic.

The hour-long documentary follows reporter Robert Neuwirth as he pulls the curtain back on the booming black market economies of some of the U.S.’s poorest states.
