Former American Idol judge Randy Jackson (pictured) has signed an overall producing deal with Endemol Shine North America.

The musician and producer will develop unscripted, scripted and digital programming that he will jointly produce with the global content producer and distributor behind such hit reality franchises such as Big Brother, MasterChef and The Biggest Loser.

Jackson, who left Fox singing competition American Idol in 2014, was the longest standing judge on the series, which will bow out once its 15th season wraps up next year. He began his music career as a bassist and has worked with a wide array of A-list acts, including Whitney Houston, Journey, Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen.

He also exec produced the MTV series Randy Jackson Presents: America’s Best Dance Crew, which aired from 2002 to 2012.

Jackson’s Endemol Shine Group deal follows Tuesday’s news that Idol host Ryan Seacrest has signed on to host the Fox summer reality series Knock Knock Live.
