Backyard sheds in need of restoration are about to receive overhauls with FYI’s latest series He Shed, She Shed.

With production set to begin immediately, the order of six hour-long episodes will focus on two home-owners, friends or neighbors in a male vs. female backyard shed showdown that sees each group turn their unused backyard shed into a functional outdoor living space.

Additionally, the series will meet with existing owners of transformed sheds from across North America to discuss the creation of their renovated outdoor space.

“What used to be just a humble garden outbuilding is now fast becoming a way for owners to express creativity and to fulfill a practical space missing from their traditional home space,” Gena McCarthy, senior VP of programming and development for FYI, said in a statement.

Developed and produced by Loud TV and Plum Pictures, executive producers on He Shed, She Shed include McCarthy and Toby Faulkner for FYI, Nick Rigg and Brent Montgomery for Loud TV, and Stuart Cabb from Plum Pictures.
