Scandinavian distributor Nordic World has promoted Ann Christin Siljan (pictured) to vice president of acquisitions and Paulina Eklund to vice president of sales.

The promotions are part of the TV2 Norway and TV4 Sweden-owned company’s ongoing restructuring and follows COO Jan Salling announcing his departure last week to launch his own formats firm, Missing Link Media.

Siljan joined the company three years ago from Mastiff Television where she was an executive producer. She will be responsible for global acquisitions as well as key accounts in important territories. Eklund is based in New York and will concentrate on expanding Nordic World’s North American business.

Nordic World is repositioning itself from a regional distributor to an international one in the wake of Amsterdam-based formats firm Absolutely Independent filing for bankruptcy in March – less than a year after the distributor finalized a deal to acquire the business.
