Kristina Goolsby and Ashley York‘s introspective film following comedian Tig Notaro (pictured), which is currently making its way through the doc festival circuit, will premiere across Netflix on July 17.

Titled Tig, the film, which had its international premiere at the 2015 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival in April, follows the American comic as she embarks on a stand-up tour months removed from the death of her mother and a stage two breast cancer diagnosis of her own.

Exec produced by Notaro, Leah Holzer, Hunter Seidman and Tim Foley, the Netflix original will also open the LGBT-oriented Outfest in LA on July 9.
