Country musician Kix Brooks (pictured) will be trading in his guitar for a fork and knife throughout Cooking Channel’s latest series, Steak Out with Kix Brooks.
Big flavors will be highlighted in the Giant Pirates Entertainment-produced series, as Brooks traverses the U.S. visiting an assortment of steakhouses in an attempt to taste the unique spin each restaurant – modern and traditional alike – takes on the classic steak. The 6 x 30-minute series will take viewers to Dallas, Denver, New Orleans, New York City, Omaha and Washington D.C.
“Kix Brooks is a great addition to Cooking Channel as an aficionado of food and wine,” Cooking Channel GM and senior VP Michael Smith said in a statement. “Over the years, viewers have come to know him as a legendary country music artist. Now, on Steak Out with Kix Brooks, they get to meet a different side of him – Kix Brooks: the passionate meat-lover.”
Cooking Channel’s Steak Out with Kix Brooks will bow July 14th at 9 p.m. EST/PST.
