London-based Passion Distribution has inked a deal that will bring the third season of the High Noon Entertainment-produced Prospectors (pictured) to a number of global markets.

The deal sees National Geographic Channel in Australia and New Zealand acquiring the rights to the territory premiere of The Weather Channel series’ third season (10 x 60 minutes and a 60-minute “Best Of” special), which is set to launch on July 6. Australia’s Seven Networks’ 7Mate will broadcast the series six months later.

Meanwhile, Germany’s ProSiebenSat.1 has ordered the program for its FDTT channel ProSieben Maxx. Poland’s Fokus TV has also picked up Prospectors, which ranks as one of The Weather Channel’s top performing original programs.

The fourth season of the series, which follows a group of Colorado gem miners, has already been commissioned.

Passion Distribution also handles the exclusive distribution of The Weather Channel’s Brainstormers, Three Scientists Walk Into A Bar, So You Think You’d Survive?, Secrets Of The Earth and Tornado Alley.
